As years pass, time evolves, and technology advances, Frank Catalfumo is a living reminder of the “good-ol-days”. The 91-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, has been making and repairing shoes at his F&C shoe shop since 1945. Frank has been making and repairing the oxfords, loafers, and casual lace-ups I love to wear way before I was even thought of, way before my parents were thought of at that. Frank and his son Michael work in the shop five days a week. The flaunting F&C store is filled with retro machinery, vintage visuals, and tons of history. Frank is definitely a major inspiration. He’s been bobbing his wheel for so many years, and continues to do what he loves.
“I’m not the retiring person, I keep on going. You got to keep moving in life. I think better days are going to come”, Frank says in the video.
